斯派尔酒瓶
斯派尔酒瓶（或Römerwein[1] ）是一个密封的容器，据推测装有液体葡萄酒。它是从德国斯派尔附近发现的一个古罗马坟墓中出土的，并因此得名。这个酒瓶被认为是世界上已知最古老的葡萄酒瓶。
历史
这个酒瓶里装的最有可能葡萄酒，1867年，人们在现在的德国莱茵兰-普法尔茨地区斯派尔附近发现了这个酒瓶，值得注意的是，斯派尔是该地区最古老的定居点之一。此后，这件文物被称为“世界上现存最古老的葡萄酒瓶”。 [2][3][A]这瓶酒的历史可以追溯到公元325年至350年之间[2][5]，是世界上已知的最古老的未开封葡萄酒瓶。 [2][5][6]自被发现以来，它一直在斯派尔普法尔茨历史博物馆的葡萄酒博物馆部分展出，并且始终陈列在博物馆的塔楼室中。[7][1]这是一个1.5升的玻璃容器，拥有和双耳瓶一样的“肩膀”，颜色为黄绿色，有一对海豚形手柄。[6][B]
发现过程
该瓶子是人们在挖掘一座公元4世纪的罗马贵族坟墓时发现的[8] 。该墓中有两个石棺，里面分别有一位男性和一位女性。[2]据一位消息人士称，这名男子曾是一名罗马军团士兵，而这些酒是他的必需品。[9]女性石棺里有六个酒瓶，男性石棺里则有十个酒瓶，但只有一个酒瓶中还留有液体。
在刚被发现的时候，这个瓶子仅有底部三分之一是透明液体，其余则是松香的混合物。
葡萄酒保存
据人们推断，它已经失去了乙醇含量，但经过分析表明，瓶中至少仍有部分液体是葡萄酒。[2]除此之外，酒中还加入了草药的混合物和大量的浓橄榄油。[2]这些浓橄榄油将酒瓶中的葡萄酒与空气隔离。[2]除此之外，酒瓶封口处还用热蜡密封[3][5]。古罗马小说家佩特罗尼乌斯在他的著作《萨特里克》中介绍过用石蜡密封的葡萄酒。然而，在酒瓶中使用玻璃的情况并不常见，因为典型的罗马玻璃太过脆弱，保存的时间不会太长。[6]
尽管科学家已考虑拆封以进一步分析酒瓶中的液体，但截至2023年，由于科学家担心液体暴露在空气中时会和空气反应，人们仍不想打开改酒瓶。[7]葡萄酒博物馆馆长Ludger Tekampe表示，这25年来，他没有看到斯派尔酒瓶有任何变化。[7]
