粗尾鼠负鼠属
负鼠科的一属哺乳动物
粗尾鼠負鼠屬(Thylamys,[1]白鼠負鼠),哺乳綱的一屬,而與鼠負鼠屬(白鼠負鼠)同科的動物尚有林負鼠屬(安氏負鼠)、短尾負鼠屬(短尾負鼠)等之數種哺乳動物。

形態描述
本屬物種的前上頜骨是圓的而不是尖的。雌獸有育幼袋,而且其乳頭在腹部排成對稱的兩排 [2]。除T. macrurus以外,其餘物種皆以其尾部儲存脂肪[3],儘管可能這並不適7於所有同屬物種[4]。

化石物種
Fossils belonging to the genus date back to the 中新世, with the oldest specimens being found in the Cerro Azul Formation of 阿根廷 and the Honda Group of 哥伦比亚.[8] Genetic studies indicate that the genus may have originated around 14 million years ago.[9]
