English: At the entrance of the city of Champagnole this monumental work was built at the end of the 20th century, at the time of the realization of the bypass-road.
12 trunks of spruce, the typical tree of the Jura, are raised in a circle and united in the top under a conical metallic head. This complex supports a disc of polished metal, fastened to the soil and immobilised by horizontal cables. So even if it looks like, it´s not a pendulum. Created by the local artist “Daniel Nicod” this work of art with a height of 12 meters is named: “Ce que le vent d'ouest m'a dit”. Located on the RD 471, close to the exit of the Route Nationale 5. |
