威尔弗里德·塞拉斯

威尔弗里德·塞拉斯（英语：Wilfrid Stalker Sellars，1912年5月20日—1989年7月2日）是美国哲学家，他“彻底改变了美国哲学的内容和方法”。

经历

父亲是加拿大裔美国哲学家罗伊·伍德·塞拉斯（Roy Wood Sellars），二十世纪上半叶美国著名的哲学博物学家。

1933年在密歇根大学获得文学学士学位,后又在布法罗分校（Buffalo）和牛津大学奥里尔学院（1934-1937年）接受教育，在那里他获得了罗德奖学金最高奖学金。

1940年获得文学硕士学位。在第二次世界大战期间，他在军事情报部门任职。随后在爱荷华大学 （1938-1946）、明尼苏达大学（1947-1958）、耶鲁大学（1958-1963）任教，并于1963年至去世這段期间在匹兹堡大学任教。

1977年，担任美国形而上学协会（Metaphysical Society of America）主席。也是《哲学研究》杂志的创始人。
