威爾弗里德·塞拉斯

威爾弗里德·塞拉斯（英語：Wilfrid Stalker Sellars，1912年5月20日—1989年7月2日）是美國哲學家，他「徹底改變了美國哲學的內容和方法」。

經歷

父親是加拿大裔美國哲學家羅伊·伍德·塞拉斯（Roy Wood Sellars），二十世紀上半葉美國著名的哲學博物學家。

1933年在密西根大學獲得文學學士學位,後又在布法羅分校（Buffalo）和牛津大學奧里爾學院（1934-1937年）接受教育，在那裡他獲得了羅德獎學金最高獎學金。

1940年獲得文學碩士學位。在第二次世界大戰期間，他在軍事情報部門任職。隨後在愛荷華大學 （1938-1946）、明尼蘇達大學（1947-1958）、耶魯大學（1958-1963）任教，並於1963年至去世這段期間在匹茲堡大學任教。

1977年，擔任美國形上學協會（Metaphysical Society of America）主席。也是《哲學研究》雜誌的創始人。
