One version of the flag of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. Later versions bore the text "Нахчыван МССР" (Naxçıvan MSSR, meaning Nakhichevan ASSR), placed on the flag of the Azerbaijan SSR of the time, without the Armenian name.
