唐納德·特朗普和高爾夫球

第45任美國總統唐納德·特朗普很喜歡打高爾夫球，也和這項運動關係密切。[1]作為一名房地產開發商[2]，特朗普在1999年開始收購和建設高爾夫球場。到2016年當選為美國總統時，他的控股公司特朗普集團已經在全球範圍內擁有17個高爾夫球場。[2]這些球場被指定舉辦PGA錦標賽和LPGA錦標賽等賽事[3]。

背景與歷史

2015年6月，商人身份的特朗普宣布參加2016年總統大選，發表了一篇有爭議的演講，導致梅西百貨、全國廣播公司等公司切斷了與其的聯繫。在談到非法移民問題（英語：Illegal immigration to the United States）時，特朗普聲稱墨西哥「輸送有很多問題的人……他們帶來了毒品和犯罪。他們是強姦犯。（不過）其中一些人，我認為是好人。」這招致了移民和拉丁裔利益團體的批評。[9]對此，LPGA、美國PGA、PGA巡迴賽和美國高爾夫協會發表了一份聯合聲明說[10]：

根據於2013年同紐約市政府（時任紐約市長是邁克爾·布隆伯格）簽署的一份為期20年的合同，特朗普集團還經營着一個由紐約市建造和擁有的公共高爾夫球場。[12][27][28]該球場名為Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point, New York，於2015年開放。根據協議，該市支付球場的水電費和水費，但頭四年不會獲得收入。至2016年3月，球場運營滿一年，公司總收入為800萬美元，該市支付了100萬美元的水費和排污費。[27]第二年的總收益則下降了9.5%。[29]截至2019年3月，特朗普集團報告說球場虧損12.2萬美元，但根據協議，每年的運營費用達到30萬美元。[30]
