裂殖酵母屬

裂殖酵母菌科真菌的一属

裂殖酵母屬學名Schizosaccharomyces)是子囊菌門裂殖酵母綱的一個,本屬真菌為酵母菌,類似釀酒酵母,但不論基因的組織、結構及基因的表達調控等方面,還是細胞周期、rRNA的生物合成都和酵母菌並不相同,在某些方面裂殖酵母綱的真菌甚至和高等動物有一定的相似性,本屬真菌從不進行有性繁殖,都是以無性分裂方式繁殖。

本綱研究得最多的物種是粟酒裂殖酵母S. pombe[3][4]。目前已經描述了四種裂殖酵母(S. pombeS. japonicusS. octosporusS. cryophilus[5]
