筛虾科
放射齿目的一科史前节肢动物
筛虾科(学名:Tamisiocarididae)是节肢动物、恐虾纲、放射齿目里的一科。[1]这一科都是以浮游生物为食。[1][2] 分布在美国、澳洲和中国的寒武纪海洋。[1][2][3][4]大多数的标本都只有保存头部的前附肢而已,但有一些有发现眼睛或头部骨片等其他结构。[1][5]

命名
Tamisiocarididae是由此科的模式种-筛虾的学名来命名的,由拉丁文“tamisium”和“caris”,意思为过滤的螃蟹。[6]旧称作鲸虾科(Cetiocaridae),由雅各布·温瑟尔(Jakob Vinther)命名,名字是cetus(鲸鱼)和caris(螃蟹)加起来而成[1],但是这违反了国际动物命名规约第29.1和29.3条,认定此名是一个无效的名字,因为科的名字应是由模式属来命名。[7]直到2019年史蒂芬·帕茨和艾莉森·C·戴利两人重新发表并更名为筛虾科。[8]
