美国总统往往会有一两个外号[1],该列表收录了历代美国总统于在任期间或卸任后不久得到的常用外号。

  • 美国的辛辛纳图斯(The American Cincinnatus)[2][2]:与辛辛纳图斯一样,华盛顿也打赢过一场战争,也同样在之后没有追求权力与财富,选择了成为一名普通公民。华盛顿也是由独立战争军官们所建的辛辛那提协会(Society of Cincinnati)的首任总统主席,该协会的所有成员都“婉拒了权力与地位,回家务农”。[3]
