软骨钙质沉积病
软骨钙质沉积病（英语：chondrocalcinosis）又称为软骨钙化是指透明软骨和／或纤维软骨的钙化（钙盐沉积）[1]。可以在放射线摄影术或 X 光检查时发现。

原因
一般人群中约有 50％ 在脚踝关节中发现磷酸钙沉积，这可能与骨关节炎有关[2]。
软骨钙质沉积病的另一个常见原因是二水合焦磷酸钙晶体沉积病（英语：calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate crystal deposition disease，CPPD）[3]。据估计，CPPD 的盛行率占欧洲和美国成年人口的 4％ 到 7％[4]。但过去的研究可能高估了这个盛行率，因它们只是单纯由软骨钙质沉积病的盛行率替代，而不管引起软骨钙质沉积病的背后病因[4]。
低血镁症也可能造成软骨钙化，且补充镁可能可以减轻或缓解症状[5]。某些情况，创伤造成的关节炎也能造成软骨钙化[6]。

诊断
软骨钙质沉积病能以X 光、X射线计算机断层成像（电脑断层扫描，CT scan）、核磁共振成像（MRI）、医学超声检查和核医学确诊[1]。CT 和 MRI 扫描可以看到钙化肿块（通常在黄韧带或关节囊内），然而，X 光检查才是这个问题最佳诊断工具[1]。超音波检查时，透明软骨内可能会出现高超音波显影且无超音波阴影（acoustic shadow）的病兆[7]。与多数情况一样，软骨钙化与其它疾病（如：强直性脊柱炎和痛风）的临床表现可能很相似，且不易鉴别[1]。
