虽然《Third Eye Blind》在告示牌专辑榜上最高仅达到第25名并停留在榜上106周[6]，但专辑中的三首单曲：《Semi-Charmed Life》、《Jumper》和《How's It Going to Be》都曾高居告示牌百强单曲榜的前10名[6] 。这张专辑是乐团最畅销的专辑，并获得RIAA6次的白金唱片认证。[7]
封面艺术
最初在美国发行的50万份《Third Eye Blind》，其封面是由摄影师Christine Alicino所拍摄的金色色调照片，搭配暗红色的乐团标志，但在乐团的要求下，封面才更换为红色调照片配黄色标志的版本。英国及其他欧洲大陆国家发行的专辑封面仍保持金色的版本，日本发行的是青色调负片版本[8]，而20周年纪念版的专辑封面则是黑色调版本。[9]
