半翅目的一科昆虫

螽蟬科學名Tettigarctidae)是半翅目蟬總科下的一,是真蟬的近親。[1][2]

本科的模式屬螽蟬屬Tettigarcta),也是本科唯一存有現生種,其下有兩個現存物種,一種是澳大利亞南部的T. crinita,一種是塔斯馬尼亞島T. tomentosa。除了螽蟬屬外,螽蟬科還包含20多個已滅絕、僅包含化石物種的屬,化石類群包括來自紐西蘭中新世的Paratettigarcta[3]法國古新世的Meuniera[4] 中國晚侏羅世的Sanmai[5]加拿大晚白堊世早期的Maculaferrum等。[6]

下級分類

螽蟬科下只有一個屬存活至今: 螽蟬屬Tettigarcta)。[7][8]
