I am learning Chinese. I tried to say 諾定咸 to my Chinese friend (as nuòdìngxián) but she didn't recognise it, and said Nottingham should be nuòdìnghàn. Another Chinese friend said Nottingham should be nuòdǐnghàn. In Cantonese, 咸 is pronounced haahm\ (according to Wenlin dictionary), but it seems that a different character must be used in Mandarin. The Pristine Lexicon translates "University of Nottingham" as 諾定漢大學, so maybe 諾定漢 is the mainland Chinese way of writing "Nottingham". Can someone with better Chinese please confirm this and add to the article.
